‘Collaboration and Action’ is a follow up to a successful community forum held on March 12 at Elmwood High School, titled ‘Listening and Understanding’, that fostered discussions around key themes such as housing, recreation, education, childcare, healthcare, and food security.

The Elmwood Community Initiative, spearheaded by Winnipeg School Division and centered around Elmwood High School, includes partner schools George V, Glenelm, Kent Road, Lord Selkirk School, River Elm and Norquay. The initiative has support from local leaders, including Winnipeg School Division trustees and representatives from City Council, MLAs, and a Member of Parliament.

At the upcoming conference on April 16, the above local leaders will share their reflections and plans for moving the community forward. The evening will also include supper and resource fair that highlights the diverse agencies that contribute to the well-being of the community.

Families that are interested in attending must RSVP to their respective schools by contacting the office by April 10, 2025.
