Norquay School Nutrition Programs

Norquay School is a recipient of Breakfast, Lunch and Snack Program Funding from the Province of Manitoba. In addition to this funding, Norquay School receives a significant amount of funding from the Schroeder Foundation, the Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba, PC Children's Charity - PowerFULL Kids, Second Harvest the Winnipeg School Division and our school sponsor Lafarge.  

All students at Norquay School are welcome to participate in our Breakfast, Snack and Lunch Programming. Families can send additional food to supplement the food we provide.  

BREAKFAST is provided from 9:00am - 9:15am in each classroom.  

SNACK is provided between 10:30am - 11:00am in each classroom.  

LUNCH is provided between 1:00pm and 2pm in each classroom.  

There are some changes to our LUNCH PROGRAM for the 2024/25 school year.  

1. Students will eat lunch in their classroom with their class.  
2. All students who stay for lunch must be registered for our ROOM2EAT Lunch Program. 
3. The cost to participate in the program is $5.00 month or $50 per year if paid up front. 
4. Microwaves/Kettles are not available for student use. Please ensure you send your child with a lunch that does not need to be reheated.  
5. There are 3 opportunities for children to eat at school every day.  Due to the number of students, we are feeding meal choices may be limited...we will supplement any lunch that is sent from home.
