Canada Writes-CBC Literary Award, Short Story Prize

- The winning story will be published in Air Canada’s enRoute Magazine and on the Canada Writes website. The winning author will be interviewed on CBC Radio and be awarded a two-week residency at an Artist’s Colony

Who can apply?
- There is one application for all of Indspire's bursaries, scholarships and awards, barring a few exceptions. To be eligible for a Building Brighter Futures financial awards applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Indigenous person
- Be enrolled in an accredited education program; a professional development program; a continuing education program; a traditional knowledge program or arts training
- Can not be a member of the staff, board or jury at the time of applying for funding support

The Arthur Paulin Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship
Deadline: November 30, 2023
Award Amount: $700
Who can apply?
- Applicants must be enrolled in an automotive aftermarket industry related program or curriculum at a Canadian college or university. Includes students pursuing their studies as an automotive apprentice or studies in any of the following automotive sectors: auto body, hard parts, heavy duty, or motive power (machinists)
What will I have to do?
- Alongside their application, students are required to submit:
- A letter from the applicant stating his/her long-term automotive goals
- The applicant's letter should briefly outline why they believe they should be considered for this scholarship. It may include a summary of past school and work experience
- A letter from the applicant's primary automotive instructor stating why the instructor feels the scholarship applicant is worthy of receiving the scholarship
- An academic transcript
- A brief outline of the scholarship applicant's demonstrated leadership and civic abilities (community service, etc.)
- An outline of financial considerations as they relate to the student's pursuit of their automotive studies. The scholarship applicant's degree of need should be clearly demonstrated. Other scholarships or awards won by the applicant should be noted, as well as the applicant's ability to continue his/her studies based on financial considerations
