SchoolMessenger is Winnipeg School Division’s communication platform for families. Parents and guardians should use SchoolMessenger to:

• Report student absences through SafeArrival
• Receive important messages and updates from their child’s school
• Stay informed about divisional news and emergency notifications

Report an absence

SafeArrival is the attendance feature within SchoolMessenger. Families can report an absence in advance, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, using one of the following options:

• SchoolMessenger app: Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Create an account, select Attendance, then Report an Absence.
• Online: Visit go.schoolmessenger.ca, create an account and select Attendance, then Report an Absence.
• By phone: Call 1-855-278-4513 and follow the automated instructions.

Reporting absences through SafeArrival helps school offices quickly identify and follow up on unexplained absences.
