Safe Arrival
December 16, 2024
At Shaughnessy Park School, one of our greatest priorities is ensuring that all of our students arrive safely to school each and every day. As part of our Safe Arrival process, a daily absence check (call back) is conducted by our office staff and involves:
¤ Phoning parents/guardians whose child is marked absent,
but no notification has been made using the Safe Arrival system.
¤ Recording all absences in the attendance system
For those not familiar, the automated system will allow parents to report their child's absence quickly and conveniently in one of three ways:
¤ By calling an automated interactive telephone system via
a toll-free number 1-855-278-4513
¤ Via website https://go.schoolmessenger.ca
¤ Or by downloading an app to your iOS or Android device
The system will notify parents who have not reported their child. It will contact parents at multiple contact numbers/email, multiple times until one of the designated contacts is reached and has responded to the call out. By reporting your child absent via Safe Arrival, you will not receive a phone call. All absences should be reported using the toll-free number or App.
The Safe Arrival system uses the contact information of parents/guardians that have been provided. If your contact information has changed, please call the school to update your information accordingly to ensure we have the most current information on file.
