Learning Support Resource Team

Ms. Melnyk & Mr. Bruni

Hello from Ms. Melnyk and Mr. Bruni, the Machray School Learning Support Resource Team! We help to support students, classrooms, families and student groups at Machray School. The resource team helps families transition into Machray for the first time or when students are moving schools. We work with parents to help create goals for our students with exceptional learning needs and we help to support these students to meet these goals in and out of the classroom. You can often find us supporting learning in classrooms, working with small groups in the library or helping with movement breaks in the Sensory Room. Our goal is to ensure that each student at Machray is able to grow and see themselves as a learner during their time with us.
The Resource team is also one of the school's contacts for WSD's Clinical Support Services (Speech and Language, Clinical Reading, Social Work and School Psychology) as well as the contact for SSCY's Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy outreach.
If you have any questions or are looking for support, please stop by Machray or reach out to us by phone! We look forward to working with you!

Mrs. Mackenzie

Hi there, my name is Mrs. Mackenzie, and I am apart of the Machray Schools Learning Support team. I work alongside Ms. Melynk and Mr. Bruni to help students to meet their goals in our building. I can often be found supporting learning in the classrooms, working in small groups, one on one in my office or assisting with movement breaks to our sensory room. My goal is to ensure that all students at Machray school can learn in a safe and caring environment that ensures equality for all of our learners.
