Welcome to a new and exciting year in Nursery/Kindergarten here at Machray School! My name is Ms. Ashley Lunney and I am so excited to begin our learning journey together. Growing up in the Inner city of Winnipeg, I feel passionate about working with young children within the community. I decided to pursue a career in education because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of future generations.

In room 142, my goal is to provide my students with a beautiful, welcoming learning space and an intentional play-based environment where children can explore and discover. Through play, students learn by investigating, touching, wondering and experiencing. There are many meaningful opportunities for them to interact and engage with their peers during which they learn how to get along with others. Students are encouraged to expand their own creativity through arts and are provided many engaging hands on activities.

Please take the time to talk to your child about their learning at school. It is important to celebrate their success and growth throughout the year.
