Welcome to Room 134! My name is Tracey Gergulich and I am so excited to teach grade 3 this year! We are going to have so much fun learning!
In literacy we are starting the year with daily journal writing and reading to build our stamina. I have also started a weekly “Featured Author” where we will focus on a specific author to introduce students to different writing styles.
In math we have a structured weekly schedule of activities that will help students develop their skills in mental math, estimation, representation, and problem solving.
It’s really important that students try everything that we do in the classroom even (and especially) if that means making mistakes. Mistakes are like teachers, they help us learn!
