Welcome back families of Mulvey School, I hope everyone had a safe, sunny, splendid summer holiday!

We are getting back into the swing of things, learning our new classroom routines, rules and expectations. Our year started off with team building exercises to learn how to work best as a teammate. In Mathematics we are working in stations to review math facts and to ease into our learning. Count objects from 1-10 you see outside of class time to practice. In Social Studies-we are learning all about “Us” and how we each are unique in our own different ways. We will be learning a lot about who we are and make connections with our classmates and celebrate our differences. Think like a Scientist-Act like a Scientist. Our introduction to Science has been an exploration of important Scientists and their inventions. Get ready to learn and use your 5 senses for the next months’ newsletter! 

In ELA, we are preparing for our Read To Me Literacy framework to begin by practicing a Letter of the Day, Word of the Day and are starting to read fit-for-us-leveled books. We will continue to practice our upper and Lowercase letters, writing our name using lined paper and and using letter sounds to try our best when it comes to spelling.
