We have had a wonderful start to our school year, and it was great to see so many of you at our Meet the Staff event. This past month the students in our Room have spent time getting to know one another and learning classroom routines. A favourite activity that we have done so far this September is our Minecraft selfies where every member of our classroom community is represented. In Language Arts we will soon begin the “Read To Me” literacy Frame work, that will have the students working in small groups with students of similar strengths. In science we explored the impacts and effects of water and air in our environment by studying the water cycle and making windsocks to see how much wind is around us. We have also started working with the “Dreambox” computer-based Math program that will support our classroom learning. Your child will be given a sheet of instructions on how to access the website from home.
