Welcome to another wonderful year! We are in the full swing of things and I just wanted to say a big thank-you to all who came out for our Meet the Staff event.  As a class, we reviewed our school S.A.F.E rules as well as created a classroom respect agreement.  We have started our academic journey by discussing a true Canadian hero, Terry Fox, and we will continue to learn about Canada and the beautiful things it continues to provide for us. We’ve also began investigating with materials and structures and will be continuing to learn about different types and how they are built. We are reviewing place value and skip-counting and in October we will be learning about mental math strategies to help us with our addition and subtraction skills. The students will also be leading math conversations to explain their thinking.  Remember to practice your reading for 20 minutes a night!
